Another place almost beyond comprehension in its scale and beautiful in its industrial forms, from the colors and forms to the fonts used, the generators and pipes and electrical panels are the living ghosts of a past era. The meters, oddly still on, point to the relentlessness of technology and provide an ironic sense of how quickly technology becomes outdated. The machines that once provided us with power and helped us exchange goods, abandoned to their own slow decline, will remain long after we are gone.
